nap time landscaper

This is our teeny tiny backyard.

We decided to liven this space up a bit and build a flower bed. So one day during nap time...

And another day during nap time...

And another nap...

Then Greg put up a fan to help make the patio a little less like a sauna!

Next project- laying tile on the concrete slab!

Yummy watermelon!

Daddy let her stay up late to see the fireworks. She was mesmerized!

Does anyone know how to slow this down?????

eating update

Well two months after her first "try" at eating solids, we are finally getting somewhere! I have been giving "baby led weaning" a try and letting her play with "grown up" food- emphasis on the word play!

But the other day we had a breakthrough! With none other than blueberry baby yogurt!

Well... the video is not uploading so I'll post it here once I figure it out!!

summer vacay

Steven and Cristie invited us along for a little summer vacay in Galveston!

First time at the beach!

Pool time with daddy

Miss Michelin and the cousins! ;-)

 Shopping on the strand!

Of course a visit to LaKings for some ice cream!!

We had a blast in Galveston and can't wait for another family vacay next year!

daddy's girl

feetsies

Look who discovered her toes!

teefers

Yep, those are two little baby teeth! Aunt Allie has a knack for discovering those first teeth... first Tyler's and now Anna's!

I think this is the best picture I've ever taken! haha!

Jexon

I got a new picture of our "son" from Nicaragua in the mail today! His name is Jexon.

Last year, we decided to sponsor a child through the organization Food for the Hungry. They provide children and their families with basic necessities, healthcare, as well as a Christian education and we receive the sweetest letters from him every once in a while. He likes to draw pictures of nature and tells us about his time in school and church worshiping and praising Jesus! I am so glad that we are able to help provide this to him!
