A "slow week" post

Well my first week off has been a slow one...but I am NOT complaining!
For example, here is the most interesting thing that happened...

This past Sunday, Greg, Allison, and I attended church at Providence Bible Fellowship with our good friends the Stuarts. As we left to meet for lunch...

We met a friend along the way.

I love turtles.

And that pretty much sums up my week!

Mother's Day is Sunday! I will be doing a lot of baking this weekend... ;-)

Curb Appeal

I am happy to say that Greg and I finally found time to work on the flower beds in front. Thanks to the AWESOME help by Mr. and Mrs. Straw as well as Susan and Allison :-) our front yard looks so much better! Here are some pics!

I can't wait until these spread to fill in the bed!

These are my favorite! How cute are they?!

Impatients... they make me smile everytime I walk by them to the door!

Well... Greg finally got his palm...

And we definitly needed to take a picture to celebrate this moment... haha

I added this today :-)

"Its like High School, but better...and in a garage!"

Garage Prom 2009= best time ever!

I must say, the ladies of Redmond sure know how to throw an awesome prom... big dance floor, live band, awesome "promy" dance music, punch, snacks, and even a "prom picture" backdrop!

Here are the pictures from this amazing event that I am very happy I made my way to Aggie land to attend!

We sure did...

I love the posters! Such great decor! They must have been on Prom committee...

She was most def the prom queen
The Loser Chairs...

And the Losers... Just kidding...

But she was sure convincing! haha

Prom pics! Except these don't cost about a million dollars!

Me and my date...

The Redmond Girls! We the BEST dresses!

Prom Cake!

And the dancing begins...

James Carona! He was great!

So all was going amazing until....
This "wild crazy party" got busted!
Yep, the Redmond girls received a warning for "loud party"

I mean... of all the many parties going on that night with drinking and drugs... they had to come and crash the party thrown by the church people...

But anyways, it was SO MUCH FUN! and I can't wait for Garage Prom 2010!

Just a little something to end this post with... :-)

This little piggy...

My culmination conference tomorrow at Sam has been cancelled....due to (duh duh duh)

Swine Flu!

I guess they don't want the student teachers from south Texas around...

Well this has been one crazy week! School cancellation, conference cancellation...

But tomorrow night is Prom night! Garage Prom night! Woo! I can't wait!

My last day of college, and I didn't even know it!

So Monday was officially my last day of "college." After the downpour Monday night and Tuesday morning, Cy-Fair ISD closed schools on Tuesday due to flooding...

Well ever school returned to normal today except for Cy-Creek! In fact everything that could have gone wrong at the school... did!

Lightening struck the school and a transformer blew, totally destroying all power. There was some flooding in hallways, and because of the immense construction, there were many holes in the roof! So school has now been canceled until Monday and Thursday was my real last day.

Now if I was a full teacher, I would be freaking out... its TAKS week and this throws everything off! Luckily, they will not make the students and teachers make up more days in June.

So what a year it has been in CFISD!

Anyways, MY SUMMER HAS BEGUN!

oh and yesterday I got my haircut! I love it and (thank goodness) Greg loves it too :-) Here is a pic!

Gotta love phone pics that make my nose HUGE!

I am very glad I decided to try short hair.... it was worth the leap!

Hmmm maybe with all this new free time, I will post a honeymoon blog? ;-)

taking the plunge...

So I have gotten extremely tired of my thin hair and trying so hard to keep it long, when we all know you must be blessed with thick hair to make that work.

I style it in the morning (or try to) and a couple hours later it is stringy, flat, and ends up being thrown into a pony tail as soon as I get home!

I have tried a couple "short" hairstyles, but I think I haven't gone short enough...
So I think it is actually time to "take the plunge"

Here are a few pics of what I am thinking... something really sleek and mature.

Yea... thats short! Of course I am going to run this by Greg... and I know exactly what he's going to say!
"I like longer hair better, but its your hair!" which is a good response, but its one of those that makes me feel a little nervous about getting it cut!

But this time, I think I am actually going through with it! I might as well try it! Why not?

Let me know what you think!

bear with me...

I need to vent.

MSNBC is the biggest collection of morons. Well, almost.... there is Washington.

I get my news from Fox online, and every once in a while, I click over to cnn and msnbc to see how the left reports "news".
Well, today I think I about had enough when I saw this collection of "stories"

- Obama's foreign policy: Listen more, talk less (oh yea, that will show those terrorists)
- The Mr. Cool presidency turns 100 (days)- seriously? Mr. cool?
- Michelle Obama- "Bo the dog is crazy" (I swear if I hear one more word about that stupid dog....Can he fight jihadists and drill for oil? No. Then nobody cares)
- Poll: Americans high on Obama ( There is some truth in that- you have to be high to even like him... or vote for him)
-Obama- world must resist hatred, racism (Well thank you Barry, that solved all those problems. Thanks for your flowery words.)
-Wedding boom in states with same-sex nuptials (I'm sure leather pants and britney spears cd's have too.)

Well, I think I'm almost done...

I'm pretty sure every news anchor at MSNBC have invested in Pampers because they wet themselves everytime the word "Obama" comes out of there mouths.

I think the network decided to turn lefty-looney after they realized they are the lowest rated news station and they have nothing to loose?

Man, I really needed that!
